About Jordan

Jordan Jaffe is a NY-based writer that hails from Houston, Texas. Yes, he drives a pickup truck, and loves rocking his lucchese boots. A chance encounter with a model scout in the Houston Galleria led to Jordan changing his college major from political science to theater and he never looked back. Jordan's play Whirlwind received a world premiere production at the Wild Project (3 New York Innovative Theater Award nominations including Best Premiere Production). Crude received a world premiere production at Theater 511 at Ars Nova as an Ars Nova Fling, starring Nico Tortorella (TV Land's "Younger"). His TV Pilot "Flow" was a finalist in the scripted drama competition at Catalyst Fest 2019.
Before moving to New York, Jordan produced with Black Lab Theatre in Houston, Tx. His theater directing credits with Black Lab in Texas include Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews (produced with Stages Repertory Theatre and the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston), Kim Rosenstock's Tigers Be Still (Houston Press Award 2014-15 nominee Best Director), Paul Downs Colaizzo's Really Really, Leslye Headland's Assistance and Jeff Talbott's The Submission. Jordan also produced David Henry Hwang's Chinglish, and starred in Beau Willimon's Farragut North, and Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's boom.
Jordan is a proud graduate of Rice University with a BA in Visual and Dramatic Arts, and has also trained at the Atlantic Acting School in New York. In 2013 Jordan was named to the Houston Press' Top 100 Creatives list of "movers and shakers".
